Halloween is still a week away, but already stores are putting up their Thanksgiving and Christmas decor, indicating that the holiday season is just around the corner.
For many, it's time to start looking into prices for holiday travel. There are some ways to trim the cost.
For those who have to fly over Thanksgiving, avoid booking a flight for Wednesday--the day before the holiday--which is traditionally the busiest travel day of the year. Not only are the airports crowded, but airlines tend to charge "peak travel day fees."
Peter Greenburg, Travel Editor with CBS News, has said that people can save 25-50 percent by leaving on a Tuesday and coming back on a Friday or Saturday. Traveling on the Sunday after Thanksgiving is also considered a peak travel day

81-room Holiday Inn Express opens in Malone, N.Y
WILTON, N.H. — Branch Commercial Development, LLC, opened the new 81-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Malone, N.Y. Roedel Companies handled nearly every aspect of the project from design to management and delivered the new hotel on time and within budget in only nine months time.
Roedel Companies, along with its construction management subsidiary, ROK Builders, hotel management subsidiary, RGH Hospitality, and design and procurement partner RSJ Associates, handled the following aspects of the project: value engineering and construction management from initial plans through 100% completion, pre-opening plan including recruiting, training, certifying all team members, pre-opening sales and marketing, pre-opening supplies purchase and installation, final cleaning and punch list items, FF&E interior design and procurement and FF&E receiving and installation.
